Application
0.6/1kV Copper armoured cable
is suitable for use in rated AC voltage (U0/U) 0.6/1kV 0.66KV
system transmitting and distributing circuit. With the metal armour layer, it is suitable for mains, submain and sub circuits unenclosed, in conduit, buried direct or in underground ducts for buildings
used in electric power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants, metropolitan networks and in other electric plants, same as for connection of signaling devices in industry, traffic and similar.
Insulation:
XLPE or PVC
Advantage Property for Use (XLPE insulation):
It is far better than all property targets of PVC insulated power cable and has overcome the shortcomings of physical and chemical crosslinkage, and completely reaches or surpasses GB and IEC technical property value.
The allowed max .cable conductor work temperature is 90ºC;urgent excess work temperature is 130ºC for short circuit(5s), max. conductor temperature is 250ºC. The environmental temperature for laying cable should be not less than 0ºC. If laying under 0ºC, the cable should be preheated.
The cable bend radius for single core should be not less than 12 times of overall cable diameter; for multi-core cable, not less than 10 times of overall cable diameter.
The current-carrying capacity is large and not limited by drop during laying .
Armour type:
Single core cable: Non magnetic wire ( aluminium wire or stainless steel wire )
Two cores, three cores, four cores, five cores: Steel wire or double steel tape
SWA ( steel wire armour cable ):
Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) BS5467
is a robust and hard-wearing power cable with copper conductors, XLPE insulation, steel wire
armour and a black PVC sheath. It is designed for the supply of mains electricity - for power
networks, underground systems, cable ducting and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
With its steel wire armour, is particularly useful in external or underground projects. As well as providing effective mechanical protection, the armour enables it to withstand higher pulling loads. SWA's XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene)
insulation is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and has good thermal stability.
The versatile SWA BS5467 Cable is commonly used across a whole range of industries including building and construction, and rail and transport. The armoured mains cable is also supplied for transmission, distribution and power networks as well as automation and process control systems.
