NAYY is preferentially used in outdoor applications, for indoor installations, in the open air,underground and in water where mechanical damage is not anticipated.

The NAYY -J is a power and control cable designed for fixed installation. It can be safely deployed in most applications where mechanical stresses are not anticipated - indoors, outdoors, direct burial underground, in concrete, or submerged in water. It is not suitable for installation in concrete which is shaken, vibrated or compressed.
Available in sizes up to 27 core, the NAYY -J is available with an RE Class 1 solid copper/aluminum conductor or an RM Class 2 stranded copper/aluminum conductor.
The cable is sheathed in Flame Retardant Polyvinyl Chloride (FR-PVC), has a voltage rating (U0/U) of 600/1000V and an operating temperature range of -15oC to +70oC when fixed and -5oc to +50oC when flexed.

- Solid strand to VDE-0295 Class-1 - For #4 AWG and up, VDE-0295 Class-2 strand
- PVC core insulation - Color code to VDE-0293-308 with ground - Above 5 cores, color is black w/ white numbers
- PVC (DMV5) outer jacket - Black (RAL 9005)
- Working voltage: 600/1000 volts
- Test voltage: 4000 volts
- Flexing bending radius: 15 x Ø
- Static bending radius: 12 x Ø
- Flexing temp: -5º C to +50º C
- Static temp: -40º C to +70º C
- Flame retardant: IEC 60332.1
- Insulation resistance: > 100 MΩ x km
